Batchfire recently welcomed the latest round of work experience students to Callide Mine, with a total of 11 passionate young workers joining

A group of Year 9 students from Redeemer Lutheran College explored the exciting world of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) through a series of hands-on activities. 

We are proud to unveil our comprehensive dual-upskilling initiative, as we aim to address the industry-wide skills shortage and provide our workers with the best possible career opportunities.  

We purchased the 994K in 2022 after retiring an older model of the same machine, which had notched up an incredible 100,000 hours of trouble-free work at Callide Mine since being introduced in 1993. 

The PC7000 is a class-leading 700t excavator, available in both face shovel and backhoe configurations, which shifts a serious amount of dirt with its huge 36 cubic metre bucket.
