Scholarship recipients put their knowledge into practice on site
Batchfire Resources welcomes an array of its Scholarship Program recipients to Callide Mine, to put their university learnings into practice in a real-world environment.
Batchfire Resources’ Scholarship Program provides each recipient with $5,000 per year for university-related costs, guaranteed vacation work, and placement opportunities at our Callide Mine.
The Scholarship recipients return to Callide Mine on university holidays, offering them a chance to apply the knowledge they have learnt throughout the semester while also being mentored by leading industry professionals.
The students joining us on site offer a diverse array of skillsets, with study areas that cover engineering, commerce, communications, nursing, education and paramedicine. As we always say, there’s something for everyone at a site like Callide Mine!

“Our Scholarship Recipients have been busy at university, learning about their prospective professions, but it’s the work experience that really cements this knowledge and sets them up for success into the future,” Stuart said.
“Another benefit for students is the ability to learn from some of the industry’s leading professionals, with mentoring provided throughout their time on site.
“The array of study areas and diversity of the students, not to mention their fantastic attitudes, highlights the importance of scholarship programs like this one.”
